Dear support,
i am posting here because i am lacking of idea regarding a network printer problem that worries users and manager and it makes me crazy as well..
This problem appeared one month ago suddently without network or system change in my domain. Im using Window Server 2008 R2 Standard edition
When my users are sending files to any printers, it suddently block all of them without the possibility of removing files in Queue. When im looking at spooler service, eveything goes right, i can restart the service but the problem still persist, my only way
is restarting the server which is also file server.. I tried everything, updating drivers, reinstalling printers on the server, deploying by GPO, nothing fixed my issue. The problem occurs mainly when large files(over 50 Mo) are sent to the printers but
this can happen with small files <1Mo. I already checked if this can be a problem for the printers with provider and they answer me to do some test in local with USB Key and there is no problem. I don't know how to troubleshoot this and i would be
extremely grateful for the help on this.

Print Service XML Format Error in Event Log
I am sorry that I could not provide an English version of the following error in the print server of my company.
Our print server is running Windows Server 2012 R2. We started to log the printing events in PrintService/Operational in the event viewer. And I found the following error in the "Details" tab of a printing eventI think this error relates to the the special characters in the file name.
However, when I copied that file name and made a new file with the same name, and tried to print it, I could not reproduce the same xml error.
Is it a bug that exists in the event viewer of Windows Server 2012 R2?
Thank you so much!

How to delete system default printer forms?
On Windows there are system default printer forms which can't be deleted from the PrintServer Properties dialog. Is there some other way they can be removed? We are never going to use page sizes like Envelope, B5(JIS), US Std Fanfold, etc. and I'd like to save users (and myself!) from having to scroll through a big long list of noise.
The computer is on a domain, and running Windows Server 2003 x64 (though I've had the same issue on every version of Windows back to NT 4 or thereabouts).Multi print queue names - windows server 2008
I am using Windows server 2008 32 bit as print server and am planning to replace one printer with a new one with the same ip address.
There are two print queue names in the current printer for Tray 1 and 2 and I just Wonder if I can just update a new driver for the new printer in the existing two queues. Or if I can set up a new print queues where I need three can i set them up with the same IP address when creating them in Print Management? For the new printer I need three queues for 3 trays. If possible I can just create them from Add Printer - >TCP\IP Port three times?

Windows 2012 /printers web page asking for credentials
Hi, we've got a print server running on Windows 2012. We used to have our print operators manage the queues with the web interface on the old Windows 2003 servers, so I installed internet printing/IIS on the new one. I'm able to bring up the http://server/printers web page on the server itself, but when I try to bring up that page on any other machine, it endlessly asks for credentials and no matter what I enter, it ends in a 401 Unauthorized message (see below). Any ideas on how to set the permissions to domain print operators can manipulate this page? Thanks.
401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.
</fieldset>Problem to print and to access to the printers in control pannel
Hello,
I create a ticket because I didn't find yet a solution to my problem.
On a Windows 2008 R2 server, I installed some updates ( I can give the list). After that I could not print and I could not see my printers from the control panel. I try with the script : prnmgr.vbs, no result. I uninstalled the updates and restart the server but the problem remains.
The service print spooler is running, I restarted it many times but the problem remains and there are not some logs to indicate where come from the problem.
The printer used are deployed by a GPO from a printer server and all work correctly on this. The printer in place are Ricoh and HP.
I didn't update the drivers but I see C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\x64 was modified after the updates.
Thanks for your reply :)

Print Management - Print Jobs staying in queue/spooler AFTER successfully printing
Only on my server "Print Management" window do I see this. Is there a patch or hotfix I am missing? We tried running a windows update and it broke the server so I rolled back the update. I would prefer to find a particular KB for this to see if a patch or hotfix will resolve it.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Client's printer's redirection.
Dear fellow geeks,
I work with an infrastructure setup comprising of 2 terminal servers and around 500+ users connecting to it using remote desktop.
server 1 is primary with windows server 2012 and server 2 is backup with windows 2008.
out of that 500 around 350 are PDU users and they are working just fine.
the rest 150 users are PC users who connects to this server 1 and access the ERP application that it hosts.
the problems is with printer redirection, when the users start connecting to the server all their local printers will be redirected to the server in their current session, but after around 100 users are connected the printer redirection stops working for the new users, none of their printers are redirected to the server.
then to solve this issue temporarily i restart the following services
1) print spooler
2) Remote desktop services usermode port redirector
after i do that the users connecting hereafter gets their printers redirected, but it only solve the issue for maybe a couple of hours then this happens again.
to reduce the overall printers being redirected i created a custom group policy to redirect a maximum of 5 printers per user. still the issue is same.
Please let me know if anyone has any idea about this.
thanks and regards.
Printing from .NET Application is Slow on Only 1 Web Server
We have 2 Identical VM Windows 2008 R2 Web Servers that run .NET Web Applications with Identical Code on IIS 7.5 with Identical Configurations with identical print drivers. (Used WinMerge to compare differences in .NET Code, Website Code, and IIS Configurations) They both send the print job from the ApplicationPoolIdentity.
When the .NET Application tries to send a print to our print server on Identical Web Servers it prints out immediately from Server A and takes about a minute from Server B. Only when I logon to Server B it prints out immediately from the .NET Web Application. Has anyone seen anything like this or know of a way to troubleshooting it?

I've did a clean boot and still the print spool starts off stopped, restarted it, then crashes/stops again. I've deleted reg file w/ printers located here %systemroot%\system32\spool\drivers\W32x86 or for 64bit: %systemroot%\system32\spool\drivers\x64. Deleted the printer spooler. Uninstalled the printers from programs and feature, but can't delete them from drivers located in print management as the print spooler can't stay working long enough.
I have a Canon ir-adv c7055, Epson WF3640, and Xerox7800 and xerox 8560.
Please help! Thanks.
How to match print drivers with dll files
After analyzing a procdump generated dump from a continuously crashing print spooler service on a 2012 R2 print server, we have identified the cause of crash to be "hpfui02t.dll -- 0.3.331.134”
The print server has around 100 printers installed, I need some guidance on how to match this dll to a driver, so I can determine which driver needs to be updated. Thank you.
Print Management Custom Filters in Server 2008 R2
A co-worker set up a filter to send an email alert to our help desk if a print queue goes into an error state. Recently, the printer went into an error state and did not send a notification. In looking into this, the filter does not show up when
I log into the server and go into the Print Management console. So, I set it up a filter as administrator, then launched the console as myself and do not see the filter. I found this TechNet note on the subject, and no where does it say that anything
about login requirements, other than you have to be a member of the administrators group to configure this.
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd834790.aspx
So, obviously this is set per user, which is pretty weak. Does the console have to be logged in as the user who created the filter in order for the action (notification/script) to fire?
Error - Printing
Please help me in a problem.
Now we are using windows server and we installed 15 label printers on server.
We use wifi to connect Server and printer.
Server and printer is in 2 layer of network.
Because the network connection is unstable, sometime the connection break in few second or a mintute.
So the Error occurs on spooler "Error-Printing".
After network connection is recovered, The error is keeping even we cancel the error data.
May I have a question: Why after network is recovered, Error still happen?
Is this Print Spooler error?
Do we have any solution excepted restart Print Spooler?
Is their any problem if all printers I use port 9100?
Hope receive your feedback soon
Thank you for your help

Windows 10, how to set up a printer for both PCL and Postscript
I just upgraded from Windows 7 to 10. On 7, I had an HP LaserJet 2300 set up as two printers, both shared, one a PCL printer and the other a Postscript printer. The small network contains both PCs and Macs.
After installing 10, I had a single local PCL printer. I attempted to add the second Postscript personality by going to the Printers page and clicking Add Printer. After grinding for a while, I got a dialog asking me to choose a device. The list of choices is completely blank.
I click on The Printer Isn't Listed and then I Have a Older Printer. I then get a second device selection dialog which is also blank.
So how do I do this? How do I set up a LaserJet 2300 for both PCL and Postscript?
Thanks,
++PLS
Move/copy one printer/driver from one server to another
Short version: How do I copy one printer driver from one Windows server to another?
Long version:
We're phasing out one Windows Small Business Server 2011, and one of the things needed to be done is moving printers to another server; a Windows Server 2012 R2.
Since they are not many I planned to do this manually. I don't want to do this in bulk since there are many other printers on the new server already, and I believe an volume import of printers will mess things up. (Export/Import via Print Manager allows only for bulk, it seems.)
There is only one printer that is causing problems. All I need to do is to create the printer on the new server, but obviously I need a driver. But I cannot download the Samsung driver because I don't know exactly which model it is. I cannot just download Samsung Universal Printer Driver from their site. I'm working remotely and cannot check the exact model, but I know that the driver on the old server works. So I would like to copy it to the new server.
Thanks for taking time!
Unable to receive faxes
Environment: Windows Server 2012 Standard, windows fax and scan version 6.2 (build 9200), MultiTechMT9234ZPX-PCIE-NV
We are able to send faxes without issue but when receiving faxes we receive the following error in the received log.
"Reception error" "Unknown fatal error" "0x0000000c" 3/18/2016 11:50:40 3/18/2016 11:51:26 "Multi-Tech Systems MT9234ZPX-PCIE-NV" "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows NT\MSFax\Queue\1D1812DEBEA30.tif" 0 "404xxxxxxx""650xxxxxxx" "770xxxxxxx" "" 0 "0x0401d1812debea30"
The main thing that I've noticed is that the TSID is incorrect in the log, displays previous fax number. I have checked the settings for the modem in Fax Service Manager and the TSID is correct there. I'm unsure if this is the issue but it does seem odd that the old fax number is being logged as the TSID when the TSID is configured correctly on the modem. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
